Our ideal solution should not only curb “food noise” with high efficacy, but also be adaptable to our existing supply chain, cost-effective, and suitable for implementation within the frozen food, beverage, and snacking categories.

Solutions of interest include:

  • Exploration of appetite-suppressing plant-extracts
  • Fermentates and other bioactive compounds with appetite-regulating properties
  • Traditional herbal solutions from around the global
  • Fiber-enriched and/or protein-based formulations that naturally reduce appetite

Our must-have requirements are:

  • Solutions must show potential or preliminary evidence of effectiveness in reducing “food noise” and suppressing appetite.
  • Solutions should indicate potential for sustainable or long-term use without undesirable side effects.
  • Solutions should ultimately allow for integration into frozen food, snack, and beverage product formats.
  • Solutions must be economically viable for large-scale integration and production.

Our nice-to-have's are:

  • Solutions that are novel and support clean label ingredients: natural, recognizable.
  • Solutions that are commercially available or about to be commercialized.
  • Solutions that enhance flavor or add a pleasant taste profile.
  • Solutions that maintain or enhance desirable textures after frozen lifecycle.
  • Solutions that are GRAS approved, FDA approved, and Food Safe with no negative effects.
  • Solutions that withstand the entire frozen food lifecycle: cooking, freezing, reheating.
  • Solutions aligned with Nestle’s sustainability goals (eco-friendly sourcing, minimal environmental impact).
  • Solutions available in dry, liquid or powder formats.

What's out of scope:

  • Solutions that contain nanoparticles/compounds and artificial colors and flavors (as an ingredient and or within processing aids of the ingredient).
  • Solutions that require behavioral intervention or personalized nutrition plans.
  • Solutions that require developing pharmaceutical drugs or synthetic compounds similar to GLP-1 medications. We are solely focused on natural ingredients suitable for frozen food, beverage, or snack applications.
  • Solutions containing commonly known allergens.
