We invite proposals for one-year research projects, including both laboratory-based investigations and clinical studies, that examine how the gut microbiome influences the human nervous system. Studies focusing on microbiome-driven mechanisms along the gut brain axis, including effects on neurotransmission, immune signalling and neurological function, are encouraged.
Limited Submission. The Keck Foundation seeks to support projects likely to lead to new models or breakthroughs in basic or fundamental science. (The Keck Foundation is not interested in applied science.)
