The American Society of Biomechanics (ASB) was founded in October 1977 by a group of 53 scientists and clinicians. The mission of the ASB is to foster the advancement, communication, and application of biomechanics to benefit society.

The purpose of the Diversity Travel Award is to encourage access and equity at the Annual Meeting, August 5-8, 2024, held in Madison, WI, by supporting the attendance of individuals from diverse backgrounds. ASB anticipates providing approximately 10 awards to assist with conference registration, travel, and lodging. These awards provide free or reimbursed early-bird registration.

Both members and non-members of ASB are eligible to apply, and individuals at any stage of their training are eligible.
