The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has opened applications for its Lab-Embedded Entrepreneurship Program (LEEP) 2026 Cohort, a two-year, funded fellowship that supports the next generation of energy entrepreneurs. LEEP embeds innovators with the U.S. National Laboratories, where they conduct collaborative research and development, receive training in entrepreneurship, and benefit from networking opportunities. Applications are due by 28 October or 7 November 2025, depending on the LEEP node.

The primary purpose of this fellowship is to provide fellows who have early-stage energy startups and/or emerging technologies with the support needed to develop and transition their ideas into the market.
