Dean’s Early Career Impact Award ($1,000)
This award recognizes exceptional achievement in research and education by an early-career tenure-stream faculty member in the College of Science. Nominees must be no more than four years beyond the tenure date.
Nomination Guidelines
The purpose of this award is to recognize an individual each year who has chosen a career as a Faculty Research Assistant/Associate, or Senior Faculty Assistant/Associate, and has a record of outstanding job performance and contributions.

Nomination Guidelines
The purpose of the Harris award is to recognize exceptional achievement in basic research by honoring an outstanding faculty member in the College of Science. Special consideration is given to recent research that was carried out at OSU and that will have a significant impact on its field.
Nomination Guidelines
The purpose of the award is to recognize distinguished scholarship in science by honoring a faculty member in the College of Science whose scholarship and scientific accomplishments have extended over a substantial period of time.
Special consideration is given to candidates with research careers that have had a significant impact on his or her field. The award and public lecture represent a modest way of recognizing annually distinguished scholarship carried out by the College of Science faculty.

COS Impact Award ($10,000)
This award seeds an early-stage research or innovation effort that advances COS strategic goals and addresses a pressing, 21st century issue.
Application Guidelines
The College seeks a one-page application that succinctly describes the vision, project plan, budget, future development potential, and sources of matching funds. The application must address how the work advances the current College of Science Strategic Plan (http://www.science.oregonstate.edu/sp). At least two COS Departments must be represented in an application. Each co-applicant must include a 2-page biographical sketch. All faculty in the College of Science are invited to submit a proposal.
